Rock Hounds

On October 21, 2007 the TBS Fellowship decided to help Brother Ernie gather creek stones for a project that was started 5 years earlier. This involved the gathering of 450 sq.ft. of stones. The stones were donated by John and Kathryn Oechsle from their land on Italy Hill in Naples, NY. The key was to go on a warm autumn day so the motorcycle enthusiasts could follow on their bikes. The day was gorgeous and warm (topped out at 80 degrees). The first stop was to meet at Brother Chucks house and pray before the 1 1/2 hour drive to the property. Within the first 3 miles of the trip we were able to see the splendor of the white tail deer dancing and prancing over the country side, even up close as we all veered off the road to avoid hitting them. We were amazed at the beautiful foliage and blue sky. As we were driving we came upon a sight seeing area over looking Canandaguia Lake, so we stopped. We meet a women who we promptly began to fellowship with her. Once we finished our picture taking and fellowship we went to town to eat a hearty breakfast. Breakfast consisted of pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, orange juice, coffee, and flies. Did I write flies? Yes there were a few of them at breakfast. After breakfast we proceeded to the property and located a creek bed to gather the stones. We found that there was a small water fall (if there was more water) and were able to climb it. We filled the truck and trailer and left the property to finish the trip. The trip will be remember and cherished. It was a blessing of the Lord to enjoy a moment in time with him and our brothers and sister. I would like to thank everyone for the help in completing this project, I couldn't have finished it without your help. God Bless You.
